Blog URL Change

The url for Brighton and Coda's blog has changed!  The NEW url is now:  sagecollies.blogspot.com

Why the word "Sage" you ask?

Both Brighton and Coda's AKC registered names have the word "Sage" in it.  Brighton's registered name is Overland Sage Brighton, and Coda's name is Desertshore Silver Sage Grand Finale (a ridiculously long name for such a little pup -- I know!)  The first word in both those names are the Breeder kennel's name.  For Coda, all the pups in his litter have the word "silver" in their registered names to recognize their unique color.  Patric and I wanted to keep the word "sage" for all our dogs, and "Grand Finale" fits his call name of "Coda".  Sooo...that's how little Coda ended up with a 5-word registered name.  Big shoes to fill!

Coda had his first puppy 1 class yesterday and he is doing amazing.  We've been working with him at home and he already has a (mostly) solid recall, sits, downs, waiting at curbs, and we're working on "box work" to get him on top of, inside, etc., of a small box.  He's super smart, and great at offering behavior.  He has no fears about uneven surfaces and is very confident on the wobble board and mini-table.  After the first tentative trip down the agility tunnel, he is now already charging through it.  Coda's the perfect dog!  He loves to cuddle, already claiming his spot on our bed -- right between our pillows.  He plays wonderfully with Brighton, socializes well with other puppies, and is such a fast learner.

We're still waiting on Brighton's test results.  Hopefully will get results end of this week or beginning of next week.
