Fetch!

We went to a nearby lake in my mother-in-law's neighborhood this afternoon, and the boys had fun swimming, fetching, and playing!

Brighton at the Farmer's Market

A few times a week, we like to spend some quality time with just one pup alone -- a special time to make that him feel like he's an only "child!" The boys take turns. With Coda, we usually play a fun game of ball, or frisbee, in addition to his private agility lessons. For the Bri, we've been taking him to the Worthington Farmer's Market the past few weeks. Here's what transpired today. He's one spoiled pup!

This is one of Brighton's favorite stops in the morning. Gourmet dog food and treats. He gets a "lollipup" every time!

Ahhh, a rest.

Our spoils! On the right is a big bag of ridiculous smoked dog bones from a local farm specializing in humane and pasture-raised livestock. They LOVE them. The bacon and meats we get for ourselves isn't bad either. : )

New furniture, Memorial weekend fun, Birthdays and...

We had a very exciting month!

1. We got a new bed with our names on it!! It's the same as our old bed, just slightly poofy-er. We needed a new bed because...(see #2).

YARRRR!

Very comfortable.

2. ...the old bed is now in the car! We FINALLY figured out a way for Brighton to be comfortable on car rides. With his bad hip, he has NEVER found a way to relax in the car. For the longest time, he sat very uncomfortably on his "bad" side half braced against the seat, panting and stressed out the whole time. This worked for short rides, but with a long (6+ hour) car ride coming up in June for our backpacking trip, we needed to find a solution pronto. We figured it out now. Everyone is happy. : )

3. We all went to the Asian Festival on Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful weather! Last year at the Asian Festival, Brighton had a broken hip (yet unknown to us at the time) and was drugged up with Prednisone. He was not a happy camper. This was a much happier trip. Last year, Coda was silver.

4. Dala and Laquisha turned 3!

and finally...

5. Coda is officially registered for his (and Biru's) very first Novice A agility trial!!!!!!! The Columbus-All-Breed novice/open trial the weekend of July 20/21. Some serious training for us lay ahead!
